If you haven’t heard of BarCamp, but work in the DC area startup space then you should sign up and ask questions later. Registration is here. Please note that the while this is a free event, it is a limited space venue (again this year) so seats will go fast. You don’t want to be one of the people who missed out on registration and ended up in the coffee shop at the end of the block wishing you were there.
That said, the event is an unconference which means that the discussions are utlimately decided by the group who shows up on the day of the event vs. by central programming in advance. Another big difference is that the focus is on group discussions about current topics rather than on lectures from individuals. The result is more like the gathering of people after a lecture concludes at a traditional conference. The experience is quite fun.
