Jobs the Front

Jobmatchbox has been evolving since it went live in 2006.  Our initial goal was to share tips and resources for job seekers and hiring teams, but we quickly learned that what we blogged about was having an impact on the job board industry.  We enjoyed ribbing the big job boards and as a result we built up an interesting national audience.  But our goal was to help people realize their career and hiring goals, not to become the consumer reports for job boards (despite how much fun it was).  So we got back to basics and started to spend our time in our local community.  That has turned out well and we are going to continue to focus our efforts on helping job seekers and hiring teams to connect.  So with that in mind, you can expect more Social Matchbox events and more developments in the company profiles section.  We also plan to kick things up a notch on the blog since it has been quiet there for a while.  Along with our increased emphasis on connecting hiring teams through jobs, events and company profiles we are moving jobs to the front page and pushing the blog and company profiles into the background.  If you have any thoughts, suggestions, etc. please direct them to email@jobmatchbox.com or leave a comment here.
