Social Matchbox Jobs part of Social Matchbox, an exclusive community comprised of East Coast emerging technology and startup community insiders. Social Matchbox provides an event series that allows community members to congregate, launch, stay informed, announce job openings, and connect. Members include founders, developers, product managers, marketers, investors, advisors, attorneys, accountants and others involved in product oriented business ventures.

Since the first event held in a packed room at TeqCorner in Tyson’s Corner, VA, the Social Matchbox community has grown in membership and strength. Social Matchbox academic partners include the American University Kogod School of Business, the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland, College Park, and the Computer Science Department at the University of Maryland, College Park.  Community Partners include Refresh DC, Refresh Baltimore, DCTechEvents, the DC Ruby on Rails User Group and many others that count emerging technology and startup people among their ranks.

Social Matchbox’s history dates back to 2001 when it was a jobs list for friends in Washington, DC called MyDCNet, then Jobmatchbox.

Social Matchbox events are held every 3-6 months, with VIP mixers for founders and special interest groups happening outside of the larger events.
